César Severo Escovar, J.D. is the founder and owner of Cesar Escovar, LLC. CE Consuling is the main division of the company and was created to assist the alarming number of small businesses and condominium associations in the Chicago area that face financial hardships and do not possess the fundamental skills or education on how to correct course and address the financial burden. Cesar Escovar, LLC's core philosophy is "Business Growth Through Financial Literacy Education."
César's experience in the corporate business world includes his tenure as the Vice President of Compliance and Financial Services at one of the nation’s oldest and leading Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI), North Side Community Federal Credit Union. While at North Side Community Federal Credit Union, César has earned numerous industry prestigious professional certifications such as: Credit Union Compliance Expert ("CUCE"), Bank Secrecy Act Compliance Specialist ("BSACS"), Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert ("CUERME"), Certified Credit Union Internal Auditor ("CCUIA"), and Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager ("CRVPM"). César continues to serve his community through his active role as an executive at North Side Community Federal Credit Union by ensuring its business practices are in line with industry regulations and laws, promoting and ensuring the safe and healthy banking of the local community members it was founded to serve.
César also has a well-rounded legal background as an evening student graduate of The John Marshall Law School, while working full-time as an executive at North Side Community Federal Credit Union over the course of four years. César's legal experience includes his tenure at the Business Enterprise Law Clinic at The John Marshall School for over a year as the lead student attorney representing several local community businesses and owners in their transactional needs, including: business formation filijngs, structuring of interal operational agreements and contracts, business strategy and growth consulting, strategic planning sessions, drafting customized contracts, and much more! César also served for three years as the Law Student Liaison of the Law Student Divion to the Business Law Section of the American Bar Association, and was a member of Council for the Business Law Section, serving along side other prominent business lawyers and judges for those three years. César continues to be actively involved in the Business Law Section serving as Chair of several subcommittes of the Young Lawyers Committee of the Business Law Section.
César's legal education, his professional certifications and designations, and distingusished work experience, have helped César not only to manage the operational compliance of running a federally chartered credit union, but to also educate clients that have come in to meet with him to assist in managing the operations of their own businesses and associations. César has assisted many small business owners get their businesses back on track through rigorous, in-depth financial management counseling and his unique coaching methodology. He has also worked with condominium associations to train board members and association members on how to properly self-manage their building and avoid financial and operational catastrophe.
César holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Indiana University and his Doctor of Jurisprudence from The John Marshall Law School.
